Intuition and Psychic Contact
For years I have expressed and insisted that intuition is a part of an Astrologers work. Often I thought that perhaps I should stop making the statement, in that much of my work deals with measurements and time proven analysis. However, many experiences indicate that the word “intuition” is highly related to the practice of Astrology.
Years ago I had a client that wanted a quick review of their chart and forecast. I asked for the date, location and time of birth and was told that the individual “was born at 1:35 AM or maybe 1:35 PM”. But that the person was “almost certain” that the time was 1:35 AM. The individual wanted insight “now” and I really did not want to do a full rectification of the chart. I interviewed, made the chart for the AM time, and consulted the individual. The chart and analysis seemed to fit very nicely. I remember that I listened to the client very carefully and seemed to have insight into the chart’s meaning that seemed most meaningful and useful to the client.
About a year ago that particular client called me again and announced that “the true time of birth was discovered”….but that the original analysis was so helpful that it helped her direct her life to success. Further I was informed that several new challenges were presented to the individual and new Astrology work from me was requested. At first I really didn’t know if I should be pleased for really upset, discovering that the chart work was based upon the incorrect time.
This announcement led me to a time of reflection on the work and nature of Astrology. I renewed my realization that we, as individuals tend to see reality from a very egocentric view. Yet in the universe, actually all around us, nature continuously changes and dynamic energies are constantly moving, changing and effecting our life experience. We are not aware of much of this life changing activity that is engaged about and around us. Yet when the Astrologer sits quietly, and is receptive to impressions about the client, the symbols of Astrology, like those of tarot cards, can convey meaning and power beyond typical aspect interpretations. We become effectively apart of the energy that encompasses our small part of the universe, insight referred to as intuition is transmitted. But further moments can occur that can only be described as psychic. That being knowledge not conventionally received either through visual impressions or dialogue.
So I reaffirm the role of intuition and quiet receptivity in the work of Astrology. It offers itself as a power tool that can go beyond the limitations of strict interpretations. Thus offering the client details and suggestions that can transit them to new and better signs on their life path.
