In review of this article, it clearly is just to long. So I thought it might be interesting to try to summarize up front some key points. First, it is always fascinating when an astrologer can grasp so quickly the issues in an individuals life following a review of your natal chart. I'm not sure people care too much about acquiring a personal "reading", but when the Astrologer can zero in on hot issues that are important, and people respond...that's empowering. Second, when I can create a time line, taken from Astrological data, that really reflects one's life, it gets really interesting when that time line transitions from the past to the future. Just think, if we are in aggreement for past events, than most likely the same methods will prove to be realistic for future dates. With such a tool, one feels like they can participant in their destiny. Those Astrological symbols become alive and the individual can interact with those archetypes and with their personal time. Our mind has a great deal of power to create, given tools that assist that creative process enables us to be participants rather than just spectators. This is what a power consultation is about!

Most people have a very limited idea of the scope of possibilities that Astrology offers. Astrology offers so many different approaches and with so many different goals that its difficult for most individuals to know where to begin their study.
The easiest way to attempt to grasp astrology to think of it as a process of learning that can uniquely motivate personal development. Most people make that initial call to an astrologer seeking an answer to a perplexing problem. And if the individual needs a yes or no answer that is easily offered through the Horary approach. However, most often the issues that need to be addressed reflect a developmental need that the individual should address and that need requires more attention that a “yes” or “no”.
Of course there are a number of individuals that make that first call because they are genuinely, and simply curious. In such situations I can offer state-of-the-art reports on a number of different subjects (relationships, relocation, personal development, vocations) that are software creations. These reports are quite detailed and actually quite reliable. However often they miss some of the deeper significant needs that should be addressed. But what about the majority of inquiries? Most people call because they have a real need for guidance. And everyone can use guidance at some point in our individual life journeys. Some people laugh at the idea of getting honest direction from Astrology, but I assure you it is one of the best resources available today. Contemporary Astrology has advanced remarkable and today offers a comprehensive model of human personality. That model can reflects each persons development, developmental needs and challenges to their development. Life mission, and the social role (including vocation) necessary to satisfy the particular needs of the individual are easily indicated in the Astrologers guiding statements. To uncover such broad life goals in one or two sessions with an Astrologer is absolutely amazing. For those few that are willing and open minded to participate in such positive personal work, the reward is well worth their participation.
Where to begin! First the Astrologer needs to understand the kind of information the individual is seeking, and what they intend to do with the information.The astrologer completes a detailed study of the individuals birth chart and secondary charts. Once the initial study is complete the client and Astrologer discuss the study in person or on the phone. With the basic information established the client can decide how to proceed. At this point the astrologer has actually completed a great deal of work. Now more specific details can be pursued, such as a preview of future dates and discussion of the value those dates may hold for the individual. But what is the point at examining future dates? Looking at dates, or forecasting, is of interest for the purpose of completing personal goals through opportunities that become available through time. Many of us seem to lose our sense of direction in life circumstances that can seem to be overwhelming. The fascinating symbolic archetypes of Astrology can be hallmarks in our life journeys. These mythical images can suggest iconic psychological themes towards which we can direct our daily endeavors. These themes and images are reflected through planetary movements that progress through time. Time lines that are manageable and rich with personal meaning.
Lets consider time briefly. When we understand that metaphorical seed that embodies the truth of the individual, we can see how that truth will grown into the future. That stem connecting the past with the future, will lead us to see the fruit that the individual life can bear. When the client clearly can re-connect with their past and life mission that client can honestly project forward and plan realistic activities that will bear fruit. To arrive at this place, with full knowledge, is a tremendous accomplishment.
To understand this process, I’d like to describe a typical past request. A client called and asked for a relocation recommendation, he understood that Astrology could suggest the ideal place for relocation. Consider that a location is more than a point on the map, its were we can satisfy our life goals, it’s the place were we take on a social role that can impact the lives of others. I asked the individual to provide some background information. I was especially interested in understanding the motive for the move. The gentleman gave me a list of benefits that he could gain from relocating, as well as other useful general information. First, I did a complete chart study, and uncovered chart details that suggests the individual may be quite unhappy in his early adult years. Second, I continued with the preparation of a report describing a number of geographic areas that would fit well with the individuals natal chart. In the report I mentioned in particular how the resources in different areas could help the individual improve his life. Third, I also helped the individual understand that the conflicts leading to the desire to relocate could best be resolved through personal work, that relocating could benefit the individual, but that other issues needed attention, and that those issues were actually more meaningful than simply changing scenery. Finally, I looked at future transits to identify different time periods that would be ideal for relocation. All of this information was presented to the individual through a set of conversations.
So I received a simple request, but the information needed to complete the request required several steps. But think about what the gentleman got in response: a better understanding of himself and the information to end a good deal of frustration and stress; the possibility to be much happier in his current location and some really exciting ideas for relocating. Finally the gentleman knows why those geographical areas are so good for him, so if he chooses to relocate he will do so with a meaningful understanding of the area of choice, thus limiting the stress resulting from relocation.
At a later date this individual emailed a request for a personal consultation. I took the necessary time to prepare for a thorough consultation. On the occasion of this particular consultation I had two objectives: 1) I was concerned with the individuals future Astrological time line; and, 2) his chart suggested that some issues needed to be resolved. I can not go into details, but I can say that the person realigned their personal objective in order to be experience a new freedom (a healthy perspective that was avoided for years because of a basic misunderstanding a low self-esteem); and when he adjusted his calendar to match his Astrological time line it is as if a weight was lifted from his life.
