Compatibility or Finding Your Soulmate

Posted On: Thu, 07/20/2006 - 3:08pm by JoeAstrologer

Compatibility issues stand out as the most common source of requests for chart comparisons or compatibility reports. Often individuals that have never requested a personal astrology report will request a compatibility study. Individuals often want to know if their lover or spouse is their true "soulmate". And it's interesting work to do, but seldom if the answer just a "yes" or "no". Compatibility can mean or include many perspectives. For young couples often they are primarily thinking of just the sexual nature of their relationship. Older couples are can be more concerned with "feelings" and friendship issues.

Compatibility Study

Additional thoughts about Astrology consultations regarding compatibility. The more I get involved in this issue it seems clear that really there are two ways to look at it.

The first option is to look at the two charts and simply offer a traditional comparison, highlighting strengths and weaknesses, and suggesting the possibility of future success for the relationship. This is unfortunately what what most folks want...not a detailed analysis, just a good prediction, and to hell with the details.

The second option is to do a detailed study that includes a systematic analysis of each individuals charts, noting developmental issues, and personal psychological needs. In addition, creating a comparitive review of the charts, noting potential issues, resources and benefits. And thats just the beginning!
